“Stoop”
is the old name for the location of “Oneness” at 287 S. Limestone. At this
location, it was common and normal for the customers to see a “sea of blue” as
UK fans walk to Rupp Arena. This is a great chance for the creators of this
clothing brand to see their work being worn. Along with the UK gear that was
sold here, they also clothing that appeared to be more on the urban side.
Joe
the owner says “We’ve been designing and selling our own Kentucky gear for the
past two years.” Since the boutique has decided to sell UK gear, the customers
continue to grow. Joe Staley is to co-owner of the store. Throughout the
article, there are interviews with several different people, including
customers, workers and people who have never shopped in the store.
After
doing further research on the history of this store, I’ve learn a little about
what has caused this store to succeed and propel forward at such a fast pace. Several
questions rang in my head about the motives behind why the article caught the
eye of so many readers. I wondered why the author chose to highlight the fact
that this store sold wildcat attire even though there are several other stores
that sell similar things.
After
I read beyond the text that was presented, I realized that the things that ere
sold here were originals and anyone would be able to point out the special
made.
This information is very interesting and intriguing. Do you know about any of their key slogans or tee shirt designs that have made it big and have sold a lot? Also, is the Kentucky gear that Oneness sales limited to tees or do they have hoodies, sweatshirts, or any other clothing articles that pertains to the Oneness brand? When you say that the old store was called the stoop is that the nickname? I think if you could find out what stoop means to the people at Oneness and how that information pertains to the story of Oneness would make this information better.
